ADHD, some new mysterious disease that is plaguing our children, or is this simply carbohydrate toxicity?

All you have to do as a parent is go to a pre-school. elementary or middle school age birthday party and stand back and watch. The kids arrive excited but settle down some after a few minutes. Then they start grazing the foods put out for the party. In the worst situations, this consists of cookies, goldfish, pretzels, popcorn, pizza, candy, etc., but even in the “healthy” attempts, fruit, carrots and vegetable dips, juice boxes are common. All these foods are 90+% sugar and other carbohydrates. So still watching on the outside, the kids begin to move into hyperactivity at warp speed, losing control of their behavior. Fights, fits, crying are common. Then the cake comes out and all the kids worship the cake and wait to dig in. Then back to loss of control and by the end of the party the parents are screaming at the kids, complaining about behavior and dragging their children to the car by the arm because they are not listening. Is this ADHD, some new mysterious disease that is plaguing our children, or is this simply carbohydrate toxicity? You decide! And we continue to question what’s going on in our world. Parents need to wake up!!!

Think about it: When is the last time you went to a birthday party where the snacks were cheese, meats, and vegetables (not carrots) and the kids had whole milk to drink and there was no cake…….just fun and presents. I would offer that and it would be a better day!!!
