More evidence for the poor outcomes associated with insulin resistance.

February 9, 2016

Here it is again.

More evidence for the poor outcomes associated with insulin resistance. Conventional medicine continues to use BMI, a marker as the factor that we associate risk of numerous health problems. This unfortunately perpetuates the idea that being overweight is what causes these health problems. This distracts everyone including doctors from the real problem of insulin resistance. I truly believe that this is why the real story is not out there and that more effort has not been placed on the treatment of insulin resistance. If the problem is unknown or hidden, the answer is likewise hidden from view of all concerned parties. We need to focus this fight on the primary issue. Don’t be misled by the barrage of studies tying increased weight or BMI to health problems. Stay focused on insulin resistance. Insulin causes a litany of health problems but is also the primary cause of weight gain. Therefore, weight is not the cause but the result.
