Still missing the mark!!!

February 1, 2016

The Government is still missing the mark!!  Really, “added sugars” could make up 10% of calories???  That would be 50 gms of sugar per day in addition to the “grains, fruits, and other carbs promoted or “allowed” by the government’s nutritional recommendations.  Caffeine doubles cortisol output and is very likely the hidden culprit of our world, yet the government is recommending up to 5 cups per day.  Wow, when will it end?  So cholesterol rich foods are no longer limited but we are still to avoid saturated fats and focus on lean meats.  It’s just so wrong.  Why can’t they see the err of their ways?  I don’t look for any significant changes in the recommendations for 20 or so years? Sad but true. Eat healthy — Low Carb High Fat
