Swedish Study Reveals Correlation Between Maternal Weight Gain And Infant Mortality.

January 5, 2016

In our opinion, the more maternal weight gain the more insulin resistance. In a high carbohydrate environment, the insulin resistance produces all sorts of metabolic aberrations, one of which is weight gain, which is merely a marker of severity on the insulin resistance scale. More and more evidence is mounting that regarding the severe negative effects on the fetus from insulin resistance. Low carb high fat is the only way to forego these negative effects. We at Jacksonville Center for Reproductive Medicine are happy to work with patients during their pregnancies to maximize the nutritional benefits.
