Women May Not Be Receiving Treatment For Menopausal Symptoms, Study Finds.

This is Australia, but the same is happening in the US.  The FDA and the NIH (national institutes of health) women’s health initiative study released in 2003 has frightened doctors and patients from hormone replacement.  As a result, millions of US women are suffering in silence.  Not only the hot flashes and night sweats but the intense rapid aging that occurs in the first 2-3 years after menopause.  We try every day to educate women and men on the benefits of hormone replacement.  We blame diet primarily, but the increase in obesity, diabetes and heart disease is likely due to hormone deficiency that is rampant in our population.  If you think you may need hormone replacement, we can do a quick evaluation.
Additionally, we now find many young, premenopausal women who are suffering the effects of low estrogen.  We work hard to identify those as well, many of whom are suffering anxiety, depression and attention deficit, not to mention mood issues……
